Hey, welcome to Day 6. So how did your day of awareness go?
Hopefully, you'll have noticed some areas of resistance in sticking to your first stretch goal and that's what we're going to be working on today.
If you haven't found any areas of resistance then your stretch goal wasn't enough of a stretch!
In which case, go back to you food diary comparison and create a new stretch goal that will push you out of your comfort zone. And when you do notice resistance coming up, in a few days, you can come back to this section.
But, if you set your stretch goal was far enough out of your comfort zone, the task will have brought up some level of discomfort or resistance for you.
So the first thing to understand is how and why resistance is created, and why it can sometimes feel like you're fighting a battle internally where you're literally pulling in two different directions at once.
If you haven't already, have a look at how this works by clicking on the Mind Minions comic slider at the top of the page to get a better understanding of how your mind creates automatic programs and patterns of behaviours and why they can be so hard to stop.
You can also find the Mind Minions comic in the downloads section today. They serve as an excellent metaphor for how you think and feel and this metaphor will enable you to reprogram your old patterns much easier.
So how do you get your 'Mind Minions' on-board and pulling in the right direction?
That's what we're going to start with today.
And today's task is to use the 'Inner Change' track to go inside and meet and talk to your Mind Minions or 'parts of yourself' for the first time.
Use your awareness journal to choose an area to look at and simply use the track to explore what's really going on.
Remember, it's not about judgment, it's about understanding, love and compassion for yourself. So enjoy today, and we'll see you tomorrow.
