Hey and Welcome to Day 14 of your 30-Day Challenge, and you've not been on the challenge for 2 weeks.
Tomorrow is the halfway point and we're going to be checking in and having a look at your progress, but for today I want to talk to you about D.O.M.S.
D.O.M.S. stand for Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness and is often felt a day or two after exercise. This is a normal and natural occurrence after a muscle or group of muscles have been pushed hard and exerted significant effort.
If it's been a while since you've done exercise, or pushed yourself, then it can be a little disconcerting and the discomfort can cause people to stop exercising. The important thing to remember is that this is a normal and expected reaction.
In many ways, it's no different to the reaction you get emotionally or mentally when you push yourself out of your comfort zone. All it is, is your muscles are out of their comfort zone.
You just have to recognize it for what it is, relax and keep going.
My tip for the day is to draw a nice bubble bath and pop on the 'Relaxation' track or the 'Be As Your Are' track with a few scented candles.
